Put simply, the composting process involves the rotting down of organic material.

When deciding to start composting, most people begin by composting their grass cuttings from the garden and their fruit and vegetable scraps from the kitchen. Although both of these materials are great compost ingredients, they don't work well on their own and many people come to us for advice because their composting process doesn't appear to be happening or because the contents of their bin have turned into a smelly, sludgy mess. Lets explore what, and what not, to add to your compost heap to get the perfect ‘mix’ to encourage the composting process.

Move through the slides below to learn more about what, and what not, to 'feed' your compost bin.
