Position

If you can, allow some space around your bin for storing and mixing ingredients, and for turning the compost. You may choose to have a permanent composting site, or to move the bin(s) around the garden as the ground where a compost heap has been will be very nutrient rich and great for growing on. 

Where you place your bin will depend on your particular growing space and individual needs, the suggestions here will help you to get the most from your bin location and in some cases speed up the composting process but remember that composting will happen anywhere so choose the position that works best for you.
