Assessing your soil

Take the time to observe how your soil reacts to weather conditions such as heavy rainfall or lengthy dry spells. Bear in mind that the condition and type of soil can vary substantially within the garden or site itself, so when testing your soil, collect samples from different areas and assess them separately.
