Pricking out seedlings and transplanting
Seedlings are ready to be pricked out when the first true leaf is a couple of centimetres long. Gently prise the seedling out of the soil and lift it up carefully by its leaf. You will need one pot of potting compost ready for every seedling.

Transplanting larger plants For indoor varieties: Transplant into large pots when first flowers open. Keep soil moist. For outdoor varieties: Harden off and transplant 30-45cm apart when first flowers open.
